Pip, the Little Star Creature

One night, Mia saw a small light. It was blue, and it was in her garden. The light was soft and warm. What was it? Mia did not know. So she went outside to see.

The Blue Light

Mia lived in a small house. She had a big garden. One night, Mia woke up. She saw a light in the garden. The light was blue and soft. Mia was not scared. She opened the door and went out. She walked to the blue light.

The light came from a small thing. It was round and very soft. It had two big eyes. It looked at Mia and hid. “Hello,” said Mia. “Do not be scared.”

A New Friend

The small creature was blue. It glowed in the dark garden. It was very small and cute. Mia was not afraid now. She wanted to be its friend. She smiled and sat down slowly. The creature came close to her. It was soft and warm. Mia gave it some water. The creature drank all the water. Then it glowed very bright.

Now the little creature was happy. “Your name is Pip,” said Mia. Pip made a soft, happy sound. It was like a little song. Mia laughed and clapped her hands. Pip and Mia played all night.

Pip Goes Home

Then Pip looked up at the sky. Pip looked at the bright stars. Pip was quiet and a little sad.

“Are you lost?” asked Mia softly. Pip glowed one time, very soft. Mia understood the little blue creature. Pip came from the far stars. Pip wanted to go back home. Mia was sad, but she was kind. “You can go home, Pip,” she said. Pip glowed bright, then more bright. A big warm light came down. Pip went up into the soft light. Mia waved her hand goodbye. “Come back soon, Pip!” she said. Pip glowed one more time. Then the little creature was gone. Mia looked up at the stars. She saw a small blue light. It was Pip, happy in the sky. Mia smiled. Now she had a star friend.
